Nonprofit purpose
Designed around service, sustainability and community benefit.
Goodwill Educational Initiative Uganda
Education revolving fund
A nonprofit revolving model helping children remain in school while building a responsible path towards wider livelihood support.
The model
Goodwill currently uses the education component to pay school fees directly to participating schools rather than handing cash to parents.
Schools provide receipts and participating families repay monthly into the revolving fund. This approach is designed to keep the resource circulating while helping learners attend school.
Responsible growth
Designed around service, sustainability and community benefit.
Fund management and decisions must be accountable and documented.
Licensing will be sought from the Uganda Microfinance Regulatory Authority where required.
Goodwill pays the participating school and receives a receipt.
The school-fee amount is divided across the months so the fund can revolve.
Returned funds help sustain education support and reduce absenteeism.
